Hello Pikey fans. It seems Adroxia loves my updates so much she wanted this to make the news – which means I am speaking to you sooner than I expected. In some ways this is a sad update to bring but in others it is good. With a lot of attention having to be focused on TSS in the next coming weeks it is time to disgard the Citadel of Anguish from our targets. It would have been 2 years this summer since D`Pikey first ventured into Anguish after winning the MPG Trials. Seems so long ago now, doesn’t it? I’m sure a lot of us remember defeating Keldo on our first attempt… and then wiping to him several times later the next week due to screw ups on the pull.

So this is goodbye to a zone which has served D`Pikey very well over the past years – there is no doubt about that. The first official Anguish raid was on the 8th of August 2005 – and the last was yesterday, the 24th of January 2007:

On a lighter, un-emotional note we have busy in the past couple of days clearing all our farm zones to get ourselves ready for the TSS encounters. Here’s an example of a typical D`Pikey member’s lockout list (in this case Dosvelasnegras – thanks for the screenie!):

It’s definately the end of an era but the memories will never leave us, unless we fall out of an open window that is pretty high and get real bad concussion which leads to memory loss. As you can also see from Dossie’s task lockouts, we have begun to start TSS with the killing of the ‘Serpent Lord’. We also ended up killing Fiddleback aswell so there you go!

OK, for real this time. Updates of the Ashengate side are probably a few weeks away so don’t expect any new TSS kills too soon – unless we decide to try the Vergalid dragon.

Until Next time Pikey fans!

Hello my dearest Pikey fans. I’ve been sat here for about five minutes trying to think of a nice cheesy headline, and that is the best I could come up with. Don’t worry, I am very dissapointed in myself. The update is late and I apologise but at least it’s here. With the beating of the PoR expansion, the only thing left to attempt to keep us from TSS was The Master of DemiBlood himself – which is actually Mayong Mistmoore… but you already know that, right?

So how shall we start this off. By now, you have probably guessed that something happened to this Mayong bloke after he met up with us… and if you are smart you would have noticed the ‘was’ I used earlier on, suggesting a past tense. Now, because we have attempted this guy a couple of times, my screenshots are all over the place. I say all over the place, I actually mean ‘scattered across two different computers in two different houses’ – so that is why half of these new screenshots are of old models, and why half are in the brand spanking new ones!

Ok, we’ll start with journey up to his ‘vault’. On the way he said some things:

And then we got into his vault. I’ve prepared this little screenshot collage for you:

Don’t all thank me at once!

After a lot of pre-fights trying to understand the banes and what they are useful for, we were finally ready to attempt this gayhead properly. Now, for the past few weeks, Calaiella has been whining like a little school girl to make an appearance on the frontpage. Those of you who know him will realise it is better for myself if I just cave in and accept his request. Here is a little edit of Calaiella tanking Mayong (he’s behind the rock) and Calaiella standing in the Guild Hall pool:

This is Calaiella in her upmost prime. Soak up the attention Dane, this is a one-off!

After a hard and entertaining fight, Mayong collapsed to the strength of D`Pikey! Collapsed is actually a weak word to use… demolished, castrated? They are probably more appropriate to be honest. Since I was getting tired during the Ayonae update, I didn’t give you the priviledge of viewing another of my edits, so I have made up for it. Here you go!

Beautiful, isn’t it? Now I know what you are thinking… ‘Cramp, where the hell is that edit you do for the chest? You have ruined it by sticking it in the corpse piece you stupid noob!’ Well, actually, you’ll see later on – so keep reading!

Before we start with the loot, Mayong had a couple of words to say after his death. He doesn’t half blubber on:

Ok, now for the loot! It was very tasty, I can tell you!

Grats to Wabb on:

Grats to Cramp on:

Grats to Adroxia on:

And the woots:

Now, remember me saying to read on earlier? Well, I’m glad you have. The thing is, with a Mayong Mistmoore kill, you actually get a bonus chest and a title for the starter of the event. In our case it was Kasha. The reason I didn’t do a chest edit earlier on is because I’m doing it now. See?! Ta-dar! It’s magic!

Which rounds down to congratulations to Kasha on:

And her new title:

The Winning Pikeys! (thanks to Neccie for the screenshot!)

Well that’s it guys! DoDH is completed, so I guess it’s time to go and rescue Ayonae from her misery in Deathkn…. oh wait, we’ve already done that. Hmm, well I guess that means D`Pikey are going to have to start thinking about heading to North Central Antonica and experiencing the raids that has to offer.

Now, I really do expect it to be a while before our next update because of all the factioning involved. It’s going to be a tuff haul but we’ll get there, don’t worry about that!. I’ll speak to you in a few weeks!

Until Next time Pikey fans!

Yes Pikey fans. It is so very true. Right now I am writing to you with extreme anger at my fellow guildmates for tonight they have ruined the D`Pikey DeathKnell Chronicle Saga – my pride and joy of about a week. I had a lovely plan in my head of the finished book, 5 chapters of grit and determination – but sadly I have had to cut a chapter out. You see, the problem I have is this: Tonight I have to bring you some very important news at the expense of the DK Chronicles. I have to bring you two updates at once. Don’t get me wrong, this has happened before; but the update was not planned pre-event so I could write it with pleasure and not having to be distraught at the destruction of my book.

Hopefully, by now, you are thinking: ‘Cramp, what the f*ck are you on about? You have finally lost whatever marbles you had left’. Well have I gone insane? Quite possibly. To edge away from this everlasting debate we should probably get this damn forsaken update underway.

First off, I should probably introduce the situation. We headed off to Deathknell to learn more about the 3rd event – and quite hopefully beat it. We did this with ease. This would have been the 4th Chapter in the thrilling D`Pikey DK Chronicles but I have had to scrap that – as you are well aware after reading the above. It does actually all make sense that text above you know, it’s not just to look good. As usual, here is an over-editted piece of Paint Shop Pro art focusing on the chest:

And in that delightful chest was some nice new DeathKnell loots. I have to say, this is the first actual loot which has impressed me in DK so far so well done to the winners!

Congratulations to Rusum on:

Urgot and Belaraform on:

(Please overlook the fact that the name of the item is half cut off. I have let myself, my family and my guild down with my screenshotting abilities). On the other hand… congratulations to Shimmertoo on her flag! Here are the ‘woots!’

Ayonae Ro had something to say about the happenings aswell. After ridding the tower of Mayong’s associates/chums (whatever you want to call them) – she asked us to meet her in the concert hall:

We kindly agreed. On the way down to Ayonae, we had a chance to admire the great scenary of the Tower and I think now would be a good time to show you some of the things we saw. It is actually quite nice.

Apologies for them being so small, but we have so much more to cram into this update we can’t take up to much space!

So now would actually be the start of the 5th and final chapter of the DK Chronicles. Why? Because this is where the saga ends; defeating the very goddess we were trying to rescue. I believe this fight needs a special review, simply because we beat it on our first proper attempt (pretty much like the rest of DeathKnell I agree… but also because this is the final fight in Prophecy of Ro so the win deserves extra praise).

Ok. Where shall we begin? I promise I’ll lighten up a little bit because let’s face it, D`Pikey have beaten the PoR expansion! ‘Woot n Yay’ as they say in the slums of Freeport. Well I think we should open with a shot of Ayonae:

Nice tint of purpley red.. don’t you think? She was well accompanied by her ‘choir’.

And now for the long haul of a fight itself. I do have numerous screenshots that I could post from the fight but I think that’s getting a little old now, along with the Paint Shop Pro edits. Here is just one example:

I’ll be honest with you guys, the event win came as a massive shock. Not long after I took that screenshot this happened:

And Ayonae despawned and out popped a chest. Rather confusing I must say. Anyway here is the screenshot of the chest:

And in that chest was some rather tasty loots.

Congratulations to Adonhiram on:

Wabb on:

Maylian on:

(Don’t ask me how I managed to cut the name off twice more. It really wasn’t my day at all). Grats to Agostino on his flag aswell!

And to finish it off, a nice guild photo and ‘woots’:

Well that’s it folks. It’s been a good haul through PoR but D`Pikey are finished and it’s time to look forward to ‘The Serpent’s Spine’ and all that has to offer. Yes, D`Pikey may have ruined my novel in beating two events on the same night and Yes, Kikthin may have PM’d me have way through writing the update commenting he was before me on the news yet again… but it’s ok – D`Pikey are kicking EQ arse and we are all proud to be a part of it. I shall leave you here!

Until Next Time Pikey fans! Mayong’s corpse isn’t far away!
