D'Pikey

Hello there Pikey fans! As you have probably heard, we took another venture into Froscrypt to see if we could beat Hearol and unlock the next instance in the Wraithguard series. I went LD before we engaged and only managed to get back on towards the end. Screenshots were few and far between so I have had to use some of the ones Maylian managed to grab thanks to his quick thinking. Have you noticed there is no colours this time around? I decided that I won’t use any – once was enough. Rather than making an update easy on the eye it seems to make it too loud!

Whilst we prepared up, Hearol saw us from inside his room. Due to his handicap of being perma-rooted he couldn’t do much about it and instead came up with some plans to escape an ass-whooping. Thanks to Kwisatzx and his outstanding mindreading abilities, we managed to document his thoughts into a screenshot for you guys at home to enjoy!

I guess the tactics didn’t help him much. This was our first attempt on Hearol so we didn’t expect to be able to kill him. Or maybe we secretly did? Who knows! Apparently we had a little stumble at the second phase but managed to recover. Updates need screenshots though, so here is an in-combat still to take in and like.

Next up is he HP falling. Because there’s two lots of screenshots been merged together to make some sort of reading material, this next compolation is massively screwed up. You can tell where I finally managed to get back online:

Quite a fun fight from what I managed to experience – but when a mob gets to 7% health it’s generally anticipated you’re going to win, unless it’s something like Vish or Lethar! But, this isn’t – so we won.

And with the death came a new flag! One can only guess this must be the missing part in the puzzle to get the next instance.

Hey Hey Pikey fans! It’s a great honor to be able to bring you the news of beating our first real loot mob in Froscrypt. News fans, meet the late Lorekeeper Grenwald:

I’m not going to beat around the bush – he got owned – which kinds of makes his angry tell a bit ironic since it was actually us who had the pleasure in seeing him die.

As usual, here is some are recollective screenshots from a Pikey ass-whooping. Sadly there’s not many but with having the churn the news out so much recently I’m running out of ideas what to do with them all anyway.

His loots were a blessing to be quite honest. With quite a few aug events placed in the icy corridors of Frostcrypt it’s a good change to be able to come out of the instance with some actual gear to show off.

I didn’t actually screenshot because with me being so naive I thought; "Wait a minute, what’s the point in taking screenshots of molds now, they are all in the amazing internet database that is D`Pikey news pics anyway". Wrong! Infact, this is the first time we’ve ever had a boot mold drop from a guild first. Amazing isn’t it? Just thought I’d like to share that little fact with you. I’ll have to remember to get a screenshot and edit this update so may slackness is not documented for all to see forever!

Heyas Pikey fans! This update is all about our first week in our new Frostcrypt instance! We’ve been doing a lot of work to get the guild up to Frostcrypt flagging quality but now the hard work has paid off. After being able to say goodbye to King Odeen it is time to move onto to much fresher pastures – or this case; new icy dungeons.

On Tuesday night after we killed Lethar v2.0 for the second time in our sexy career, we decided to take our first raid trip to the first Frostcrypt instance to see what we could uncover. Here is our brand new expedition box:

After a bit of scouting and trash killing we discovered our new events. What followed was a fuckton of zombies and a massive wipe. So we decided to leave that event till later and try something else.

Oh Brother!

After a re-group we headed to the Brother’s event. You know me, I like to talk up events to make our success sound even more great – but sadly I can’t do it with this particular fight. 3 Giants; 3 corpses. Kapow!

As you can see, Hufdan was not happy that he was about to lose his gems of magical power – but we didn’t care! Here’s the lockout:

I guess this must be something important step on our journey through Frostcrypt! This is all that happened on Tuesday, so we decided to call night off and see what Wednesday was going to bring!

Come on baby – light my fire!

On Wednesday we went back to Frostcrypt to see what other new events we could learn and try for fresh progression! Despite Sony trying their best with their lame instance servers we still managed to go for a wonder in our new zone. What happened later was similar to that of Tuesday – a fuckton of zombies! But, this time we were prepared:

At this moment, dozens of Pikey duds recieved fresh skid marks. But, with the commitment to progress – shit stained undies were not going to put our handsome lot off kicking some undead ass. Whilst we tried to learn the event, I managed to grab some screenies for our news fans. Please enjoy!

After a while learning this event and trying to fend off the mass of zombies we finally managed to get Mr. Cotas to spawn!

He wasn’t very difficult. Infact, a bunch of WoW players with hammers tied to their hands could probably kill him. Even with this in mind, we can’t ignore he was very generous with rewarding us new augs! Man, cheers Cotas!

Deeper Shade of Blue

On Thursday we decided to go back to FC due to the instance problems AB has been having recently. With 2 aug mobs already down, we decided to see if we could try out hand at the proper loot droppers – but apparently not. We backtracked to Lorekeeper Bentolf to dispose of his shady ways.
